I purchased the Montclaire because it would provide an attractive suplemental heat source.  Could be placed easily, no elictric controls and a great price.  Two years ago my power went out and with it my oil fired boiler and my pellet stove.  the only heat left was the Montclaire.  It kept the entire 2200 tri-level home adequately heated until power was returned days later.  I am know looking to replace my pellet stove with a second Montclaire, it is much easier to maintain and more reliable.
