This vacuum has a few things that I don't like about it and they are: you can't lower the handle to raise up the head to keep from running over the cord or small rugs. You have to pick the whole thing up to avoid eating a cord a the corner of a small rug. The controls are easy to use but very often just brushing against them will turn the machine off or start it. Also, it is not possible to groom your carpet to erase the wheel marks. Lastly, it is like the Oreck in that you have to unscrew the cover to the beater bar and that is such an annoyance. The Eureka has 2 levers to move and you can easily get to the belt and the beater bar. So, other than those four things, it is a great vacuum. It cleans well and is not too noisy. If those things don't bother you then you will love having it.
