Why direct drive and epoxy coating matter

Is it two speeds or three?
Two: 11,200 CFM on high and 8,090 CFM on low. The 30 inch model in the same family is the three-speed unit. Some listings elsewhere describe the 36 inch as three-speed, which is incorrect.
Will it disturb shielding gas in a weld shop?
It can, as any high-volume fan will. Run it on low, place it off-axis so the welder feels return airflow rather than a direct jet, and use a weld curtain if it has to be close. Placement is the fix, not avoiding the fan.
Can I hang it over a work cell?
Yes. Hanging and vertical mounts are both in the box, along with the safety cable kit. Anchor it to structure rather than to ceiling deck.
