What size hose do I need?

Standard 2-inch suction and 2-inch discharge hose, both rated for the pressure. Suction hose should be reinforced (collapse-proof) for trash pump duty. We can quote a complete suction-and-discharge hose kit when you order.

Will it pump straight mud or sewage?

It is rated for dirty water with solids up to 3/4 inch (debris-laden runoff, flooded basements, silty pond water). It is not a sewage pump and is not rated for chemical transfer. For raw sewage or chemicals, look at BE's NP-2065HR chemical pump.

How does priming work?

The TP-2065HR is self-priming after the pump body is filled with water. Always fill the pump body before starting; running dry damages the seal and impeller.

Can it run unattended?

Honda's GX200 has a low-oil alert that shuts the engine down before damage. That said, trash pumps should be monitored on long runs because suction strainers can clog and you need to be able to clear them before the engine cavitates.
