How do I match the edge finish to my main floor grind?
Use the same tooling family on the edges as on the field. If the main machine is running 30/40 grit metal-bond cups, edge with the equivalent 7-inch metal-bond cup. Let the head ride flat under its own weight - downward pressure or tilting causes half-moon scratches that show up at the next finer step.
Can the grinder reach all the way into a 90 degree corner?
No floor grinder reaches a tight inside corner. The TMC-7-2 gets within an inch or two of the wall in flush angle mode. Finish the last inch with a handheld diamond cup, triangular detail grinder or rubbing brick.
