This medium coarse C24 grinding stone is a floor grinder accessory. Grinding Stones are generally used when there is a need to remove trowel marks, rain spots, excess concrete, rough finishes, or high spots less than 1/16" in height. The EDCO grinder will remove up to 1/16" of concrete at the rate of approximately 500 square feet per hour using grinding stones of the C-10-S grit. Extra weight can be added to the grinder to improve the grinding speed. The hardness of the surface, size of aggregate, age of slab or additives and sealers required to meet surface specifications will affect the grinding speed and rate of removal.
