Masking an odor buys you about a day. The customer calls back when the fragrance fades and the smell is still there, and now you are doing the job twice. HydraMaster MultiPhase is built to avoid that outcome by attacking odor four different ways at once: it binds, bonds, encapsulates, pairs with and absorbs the odor-causing material rather than covering it.
That multi-mechanism approach is why it handles the odor categories professional cleaners actually get called about, which rarely have a single cause. Pet urine, tobacco smoke, mustiness and mildew, and vomit each behave differently, and a product that only neutralizes one chemistry will fail on the others. Sold here as a case of four 1-gallon jugs.
Built for
- Pet urine odor. The single most common odor complaint in residential carpet cleaning, and the one most likely to generate a callback if it is only masked.
- Tobacco smoke. Rental turnovers, vehicles and smoke-affected structures where the odor is in soft goods as well as hard surfaces.
- Mustiness and mildew. Water losses, basements and closed-up properties after the structure has been dried.
- Vomit and biological events. Schools, hotels, healthcare and hospitality accounts where the room has to be back in service quickly.
- Any water-safe surface. Carpet, draperies, upholstery, hard surfaces and floors, pet beds, mattresses and more.
Four ways to apply it
MultiPhase can be fogged, sprayed, injected, or used as an additive in your pre-spray, and experienced crews use more than one of those on the same job. Injection puts product where urine actually went, into the pad and sometimes the subfloor. Spraying treats the carpet face and soft goods. Fogging reaches the airborne and surface-deposited fraction in a smoke or musty-structure job. Adding it to the pre-spray means the deodorizing step costs you no extra labor on a routine cleaning.
It is ultra-concentrated and can be used straight or diluted up to 32:1, so the same jug covers a light maintenance additive and a heavy source treatment. Dilute conservatively at first on a new fiber type and always treat the source, not just the room; deodorizer applied to the surface above an untreated saturated pad is the classic reason an odor comes back.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from a fragrance deodorizer?
A fragrance covers odor and fades. MultiPhase binds, bonds, encapsulates, pairs with and absorbs the odor-causing material itself, which is why it is described as a counteractant rather than a masking agent. That is the difference between a callback and a finished job.
What dilution should I use?
It is ultra-concentrated and can be used straight or diluted up to 32:1. Heavier source treatments such as saturated pet urine call for stronger dilutions or full strength; use the weaker end as a routine pre-spray additive. Test an inconspicuous area on any unfamiliar fiber.
Can it be used on upholstery and mattresses?
Yes. It can be used on any water-safe surface including carpet, draperies, upholstery, hard surfaces and floors, pet beds and mattresses. Water-safe is the operative condition, so check the cleaning code on upholstery first.
Will it remove pet urine odor permanently?
It is formulated for pet urine among other common odors, but permanence depends on treating the source. Urine that has soaked into the pad and subfloor has to be reached by injection or by pulling and treating the pad. Surface application over an untreated saturated pad is the usual reason odor returns.
Can I add it to my pre-spray?
Yes, that is one of the four intended application methods along with fogging, spraying and injecting. Adding it to the pre-spray builds deodorizing into a normal cleaning with no extra labor step.
