This is the outer cloth bag with zip pocket for the Kirby Classic III, the model Kirby designates 2CB. On a Kirby, the outer bag is the reusable fabric shell that hangs from the handle; the disposable paper filter bag lives inside it. Outer bags take years of abrasion, sun and handling, and a split seam or a worn-through corner is a normal end-of-life failure on a machine that is otherwise still running. Replacing the shell is routine maintenance on these vacuums.

Fits
Sources agree that this bag fits the Kirby Classic III, model 2CB. Two distributors additionally list it for the Kirby Tradition, model 3CB. Wider fitment lists exist at a single distributor and are not corroborated, so they are not repeated here.
Kirby outer bags are generation-specific and a bag from one machine generation frequently will not fit another. Confirm fitment against your machine's model designation before ordering. The designation is on the nameplate on the vacuum body.
Use with an inner filter bag
This outer bag is a reusable component designed to work together with a disposable Kirby Style 1 filter bag inside it. Running the machine without the correct inner bag will foul the fan and the motor. Order inner bags separately.
