Does this replace a carpet extractor?
No, and it is not meant to. The P-4000 shampoos and agitates - it does not vacuum solution back out of the carpet. Use it for spots and traffic lanes, or as a pre-treatment step ahead of an extractor. For whole-room carpet cleaning with recovery, you need an extractor.
Why counter-rotating twin brushes instead of a single disc?
Two brushes turning in opposite directions cancel each other out, so the machine holds a straight line and is far easier to control than a single-disc buffer, which wants to walk sideways until the operator learns to steer it. That makes the P-4000 practical for staff who are not trained floor machine operators.
Can it be used on hard floors as well as carpet?
