Description Reviews FAQ

The MK Diamond GC-30 is a Green Cut early entry diamond blade for cutting crack control joints in green concrete. Early entry sawing means going in while the slab is still curing, within one to two hours of finishing, so that shrinkage cracking relieves itself along the sawn joint instead of running wherever it wants. The blade is laser welded and cuts dry. Flatwork and slab contractors running early entry saws are the buyers here.

Specifications

  • Diameter: 5 inches (127 mm)
  • Blade width: .095 inch
  • Arbor: triangular
  • Bond: Medium Bond
  • Sand rating: medium abrasive sand
  • Rim: laser welded
  • Cutting mode: dry cutting

MK's own published material describes the GC-30's aggregate rating two different ways across its product page and its early entry sell sheet, so no aggregate rating is stated here. Order against the bond and sand rating above, or contact us with your mix design.

Fits

MK states that the triangular arbor fits Soff-Cut saws without an arbor adapter, and that the blade arbor fits popular early entry saws that have a triangular or 1-inch arbor. MK does not publish a list of specific saw models, and none is listed here. Per MK's sell sheet key, this 5-inch blade is not bushed to a 1-inch arbor.

Early entry saws use a skid plate that must match the blade diameter. MK lists stainless steel skid plate part 171290 for 5-inch blades. Skid plates are sold separately.

Confirm your saw's arbor type and blade capacity before ordering. Discount Cleaning Products is an authorized MK Diamond dealer with US-based service and support.
