Most air purifiers do one thing. This 5 stage UV light air purifier stacks five different technologies in one cabinet because the things people actually want out of their air are not the same problem: dust and pollen are particles, cooking and paint smells are gases, and mold and bacteria are living organisms. Filtering handles the first, carbon handles the second, and UV light plus a photocatalyst handles the third. Households with allergy or asthma sufferers, pet owners, smokers, newly renovated spaces and small offices are the typical buyers.
Built for
- Allergy and asthma households. The HEPA stage is the one that captures pollen, dust and pet dander.
- Pet owners. Dander on the filter side, odor on the carbon side.
- Smoke and cooking odor. Activated carbon targets the gas-phase compounds a filter alone cannot hold.
- Newly painted, carpeted or renovated rooms. The photocatalyst stage targets VOCs off-gassing from new materials.
- Bedrooms and small offices. A low speed setting for overnight running and a high speed for clearing a room quickly.
The five stages
- HEPA filter - captures airborne particles including pollen, dust, allergens and pet dander.
- Activated carbon filter - adsorbs odors, vapors, cigarette smoke and cooking smells.
- Photocatalyst filter - works with the UV lamp to break down VOCs and fumes.
- UV light - targets germs, viruses, fungi and bacteria carried in the airstream.
- Negative ion generator - releases ions to help airborne particles clump and settle out.
An aroma diffuser is built in as a sixth, optional function and a 25 oz Italian Cream Cake fragrance is included. A single button switches between low and high speed.
Manufacturer-rated performance. Thermax rates the unit at more than 99.2 percent capture of particles such as pollen, dust, allergens and pet dander; more than 73.2 percent breakdown of poisonous fumes and VOCs into CO2 and water; more than 88.5 percent kill of germs, viruses, fungi and bacteria; and emission of more than 3,000,000 ions per cubic centimeter. These are the manufacturer figures under their test conditions, not an independent certification, and real-world results depend on room size, air changes and how often filters are replaced.

Frequently asked questions
What do the five stages actually do?
HEPA captures particles like pollen, dust and pet dander. Activated carbon adsorbs odors, smoke and vapors. A photocatalyst filter working with the UV lamp breaks down fumes and VOCs. UV light targets germs, viruses, fungi and bacteria. A negative ion generator helps remaining airborne particles settle.
Do I have to use the fragrance diffuser?
No. The aroma diffuser is an optional function. The unit runs as a purifier with the diffuser off. A 25 oz Italian Cream Cake fragrance is included if you want to use it.
Are the performance percentages independently certified?
No. The capture, VOC breakdown, germ reduction and ion output figures are manufacturer ratings measured under their own test conditions. Actual results in your home depend on room size, air changes per hour and filter condition.
How often do the filters need changing?
It depends on air quality and run hours. HEPA and carbon stages are consumables and lose effectiveness as they load. Check them on a schedule and replace when airflow drops or odor control fades. Contact us for replacement filter availability.
Is a negative ion generator the same as an ozone generator?
No. An ionizer emits negatively charged ions to help particles clump and fall out of the air. It is not an ozone shock treatment and is not intended for unoccupied-space remediation.
