Not every rebuild wants the biggest motor that will fit. When the original unit was the lower-amperage one, or when the machine's switch, cord and 50 Hz circuit are the real constraint, the right part is the one that matches. Part 100419 is the 220-volt, 5.7-inch, two-stage through-flow vacuum motor rated at 102 CFM, built to a specification that stays inside a tighter current budget while still moving real air.
Built for
- Direct motor swaps in 220 and 240 volt commercial vacuums, where matching the original current draw matters more than chasing peak lift.
- Repowering 240-volt blowers and air movers that need sustained airflow at modest current.
- Fleet spares for export machines running on 50 Hz mains, where a downed unit costs a route.
What a 5.7-inch 2-stage thru-flow motor is
The 5.7-inch figure is the fan and body diameter, the standard mounting dimension for commercial vacuum motors, not a power rating. Two-stage means two fans are stacked in series, with the first pressurizing air into the second, which raises sealed suction well above a single-stage motor at similar wattage. Through-flow, sometimes written thru-flow or flow-through, means the working airstream passes through the motor and cools the armature and brushes on its way out.
That cooling method is why through-flow motors are lighter and more compact for a given airflow, and it is also the one rule you cannot break: they are rated for clean, dry, filtered air only. Never use a through-flow motor for wet pickup, and never run one with neglected filters. Filter neglect is the leading cause of through-flow motor failure, because the motor sits directly downstream of the debris path.
Why a 220-volt version exists
These motors serve machines sold outside North America, where mains supply is typically 220 to 240 volts at 50 Hz, as well as export builds of North American machines. A 220-volt motor is not a more powerful version of the 120-volt motor; it is the same fan geometry rewound for double the voltage at roughly half the current. If you are converting or repairing an export machine, remember that the ancillaries change too, including the switch cord assembly.
How long these motors last, and how they tell you
Repair-trade figures put the original carbon brush set at roughly 700 to 900 hours, with a fresh set of brushes buying about 400 more, and a practical ceiling near 1,200 hours before bearings or the armature become the limiting factor. Brushes are considered finished when worn shorter than 3/16 inch from a new length of about 3/4 inch.
A motor on its way out announces itself: suction that keeps falling after a bag change, a filter clean and a clog check; a rising whine, squeal or grinding from the bearings; visible sparking or a heavy arcing glow at the commutator; a burnt electrical smell; carbon dust collecting in the filter chamber; and intermittent cut-outs. Two or more of those together, with filters and clogs ruled out, is the standard call to replace the motor.

Fitment
We publish the motor specification rather than a machine fitment list, because the manufacturer does not publish one for this part number. Match fan diameter, voltage, stage count, mounting arrangement and lead configuration against the motor currently in your machine, or send us a photograph of the existing motor nameplate and we will check it against the specification.
Installation tips from the trade
Photograph the wiring before you disconnect anything. Cut old crimp connectors at the metal barrel rather than reusing them, and use crimp or butt connectors rather than twist-on wire nuts, which are unreliable on stranded conductors in a machine that vibrates. If you are seating new carbon brushes yourself, bed them in at reduced voltage before putting the motor under load rather than running brand-new brushes at full voltage.
Frequently asked questions
Is this motor 220V or 240V?
The Ametek Lamb 116312-00 specification that matches this motor is rated 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. It is the standard motor for 220 to 240 volt mains and will not run correctly on 120 volts.
How many amps does it draw?
From 2.6 amps sealed to 4.4 amps maximum, corresponding to roughly 643 to 1,037 watts of input power. That is materially less current than the 113 CFM motor in the same family, which matters on a 50 Hz circuit and for heat.
Why do sellers list 106.5 CFM and 102 CFM for the same motor?
Both figures come from the same manufacturer performance curve measured at different test orifices, 106.5 CFM at a 2.0-inch orifice and 102.5 CFM at 1.75 inches. Neither number is wrong.
Can it pick up liquids?
No. This is a through-flow motor, rated for clean, dry, filtered air only. Wet pickup requires a bypass motor.
How does it differ from the 113 CFM motor?
Less lift at 98.6 inches versus 105.2 inches, less airflow, roughly a third less peak input power, and ball and sleeve bearings rather than ball bearings at both ends. In exchange it draws considerably less current and carries CSA certification in addition to UL Recognition.
Will it fit my machine?
Confirm the fan diameter, voltage, mounting arrangement and lead configuration against your existing motor before ordering. We do not publish a model fitment list for this part because the manufacturer does not publish one.
Discount Cleaning Products supplies commercial vacuum motors and wear parts with US-based support before and after the sale. Send us the nameplate off your old motor and we will confirm the specification match before you order.
