A turbo nozzle is the simplest way to put real agitation into carpet without adding a motor, a cord, or anything else that can fail. The ProTeam 103607 turbo nozzle carries a brush roll that is spun entirely by the vacuum's own airflow, so it digs into pile, walk-off mats, and carpet runners and lifts hair and embedded grit that a flat floor tool slides straight over. Crews like it because there is nothing electrical to break and nothing extra to carry.
Built for
- Lobby and corridor carpet runners that see heavy foot traffic every day
- Walk-off mats at building entrances, where most of a building's grit is captured
- Carpeted offices with pet hair, thread, or lint that suction alone does not release
- Crews that want carpet agitation without the weight and wiring of an electric power nozzle
Specifications
- Part number: ProTeam 103607
- Type: Air-driven turbo nozzle with a rotating brush roll
- Drive: Powered by vacuum airflow only; no motor, cord, or battery
- Connection size: 35 mm
- Surface: Carpet, carpet runners, and walk-off mats
Fitment note: ProTeam's mainstream turbo brushes are published in 1-1/4 inch and 1-1/2 inch sizes, so a 35 mm connection sits between the two nominal platforms and should be treated as its own size. Measure your wand or cuff, or check the parts diagram, before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Does the turbo nozzle need batteries or a power cord?
No. It is spun entirely by the airflow moving through the vacuum, which is why it is called air driven rather than powered.
Will it work on hardwood or tile?
No. Turbo brushes are made to agitate carpet and mat pile. Use a hard floor tool on bare floors.
The brush roll stopped spinning. Is it broken?
Usually not. The most common causes are hair or string wrapped around the roller and its bearings, or reduced airflow from a full bag or clogged filter. Clear the roller and check the filtration before assuming the tool has failed.
Is a turbo nozzle as strong as an electric power nozzle?
Generally no. An electric power nozzle drives the brush at a steady speed regardless of airflow. A turbo nozzle is lighter and simpler, and it slows down as suction drops.
What wears out on it?
The brush bristles and the roller bearing. There is no motor to burn out, so most turbo nozzles are retired when the bristles are worn flat.
Getting the right part the first time
- Match by part number from your machine's parts diagram or model plate rather than by model name alone. ProTeam has revised most of its machine families more than once, and parts that look identical are often not interchangeable between generations.
- Check the tool connection diameter before ordering anything that attaches to a wand or a hose. The 1-1/4 inch and 1-1/2 inch platforms do not interchange, and mismatched diameter is the most common ordering mistake on ProTeam accessories.
- Unplug the machine, or disconnect the battery on a cordless unit, before beginning any service work on a motor, hose, or filter housing.
- If you are not sure which revision you have, send us the model and serial number from the plate on the machine and we will check it against the current parts diagram for you.
Discount Cleaning Products is an authorized dealer for ProTeam commercial vacuums and genuine ProTeam replacement parts. Our US-based team can help you confirm fitment against your machine's model plate or parts diagram before you order, and we stand behind the parts we sell after the sale.
