Description Reviews FAQ

P801PAK3 is a three-pack of replacement centering screw bits for General Equipment 2350 BOR-MAX Series earth augers. The screw bit is the auger tip: it centers the auger on the mark and pulls it into the ground to start the hole. On the two smallest augers in the series the screw bit does more than center, acting as the boring head and cutting device in its own right. It is a field-replaceable wear item.

Fits

General Equipment 2350 BOR-MAX Series earth augers. We are deliberately not publishing a specific auger model number for this part. The General Equipment specification table and its distributors disagree about which of the two small augers P801PAK3 belongs to, and a screw bit that does not match will not seat. Contact us with your auger model number and we will confirm the correct bit with the manufacturer before your order ships.

About the augers

The 2350 BOR-MAX Series are blade-type earth augers for the General Equipment hand-held 200 Series hole diggers, using a 1-inch round drive connection and a 0.375-inch auger pin, with 30 inches of effective digging depth. The 2.25-inch and 3.25-inch augers in the series carry no bolt-on cutting blade, which is why the screw bit takes on the cutting duty at those sizes.

Working limits

General Equipment specifies these augers for earth digging in unconsolidated soils only, such as loams, sands, soft clays and granular rubble. They are not intended for digging holes in ice.
