Solution hose is a consumable on a hard surface tool, not a permanent fixture. It gets flexed at the same spot every pass, run over by the deck, and pressurized and depressurized hundreds of times a day. The Sandia 10-0864-SH is the genuine replacement solution hose for the 15-inch turbo tool, and it is the part contractors reach for the moment they see a weep at a crimp or feel the pressure at the jets go soft.
Built for
- Tile and grout contractors who noticed a bulge, weep or spray at the hose fitting
- Restoration crews running the tool daily where hose flex fatigue shows up first
- Facility maintenance departments keeping a spare hose so a split does not end a shift
- Anyone troubleshooting low pressure at the deck after the pump and jets checked out fine
What this part does
The solution hose carries pressurized cleaning solution from the extractor's supply line into the tool so the jets can drive it down into the grout. It is a pressure-rated line, which is exactly why a small failure matters: a pinhole leak or a soft, ballooning section drops the pressure that reaches the jets, and a hose that lets go under load is both a mess and a hazard on a wet floor.
When to replace it
- Weeping, misting or dripping at a crimp, fitting or along the hose body
- A soft spot or bulge that swells when the trigger is held
- Cracking, chafing or exposed reinforcement where the hose rubs the deck or a corner
- Pressure at the tool that reads noticeably lower than pressure at the machine
Fitment
Genuine Sandia part 10-0864-SH for the Sandia 15-inch turbo tool. This is the tool-side solution hose, not the long machine supply hose - those are separate part numbers in the Sandia catalog. If you are unsure which hose you need, tell us the tool model and where the leak is and we will point you to the right one.
Getting the most life out of it
Avoid running the deck over the hose, which is the single most common cause of premature failure. Relieve pressure before disconnecting, coil rather than kink for storage, and flush clean water through the line at the end of every job. Sandia's warranty excludes failures traced to skipped maintenance and to leaving chemistry sitting in the system.
Specifications
Sandia warranty policy (as published by the manufacturer): 2-year warranty on all vacuum motors; 2-year warranty on 100 psi pumps only, 1-year warranty on all other pumps; 90 days on parts, tools and accessories.
The warranty does not cover defects or failures resulting from improper or absent maintenance, misapplication, misuse, tampering, or substitution of provided parts. It also excludes pumps stored in freezing conditions, pumps run for extended periods with no water, use of powdered detergent, failure to flush the system regularly with a vinegar solution, filters removed from the solution tank, and inline filters that are not cleaned regularly. Sandia covers up to one year of service labor at the manufacturer's calculated hourly rate when the work is performed by a manufacturer-authorized service provider; after one year the original retail purchaser is responsible for all labor. Authorized warranty replacement parts must come directly from the manufacturer - using other parts voids the warranty. Contact the manufacturer before changing out any part, and do not return parts or equipment without an RMA number and prior approval. Warranty starts on the purchase date by the original purchaser from an authorized distributor, subject to proof of purchase.
Frequently asked questions
Can I just tape or clamp a small leak?
No. This is a pressure line. A patched hose can fail suddenly under load, and a hose that is weeping today is already losing the pressure your jets need. Replace it.
Is this the long hose that runs to the machine?
No. This is the tool-side solution hose for the 15-inch turbo tool. Sandia catalogs the longer 15-foot and 25-foot machine supply hose assemblies separately.
Why is my pressure low even though the pump sounds fine?
Work backwards from the deck: clogged jets, a scaled spray bar, a leaking quick disconnect and a fatigued solution hose all drop pressure at the tool while the pump keeps sounding normal.
What maintenance keeps a solution hose alive longest?
Flush clean water through it after each job, keep the deck off it, and never store the tool with the hose kinked. Freezing conditions are also worth avoiding - Sandia's warranty specifically excludes freeze damage in the solution system.
