Part number 153-AS-CHARGER is the Aztec approved quick charge battery charger for the Aztec ProScrub automatic floor scrubber. It is the factory charger for the machine's 24 volt battery system, and it is what facilities buy when the original charger has failed, when a second charger is needed for a second shift, or when a used machine has arrived without one.
Specifications
- Aztec OEM part number: 153-AS-CHARGER
- Output: 24 volt
- Rating: 12 amp
- Type: quick charge, dual mode
- Battery types supported: wet cell and AGM
- Machine: Aztec ProScrub automatic floor scrubber
Dual mode charging
The dual mode design is the practical reason to use the factory charger rather than a generic 24 volt unit. Aztec publishes this charger as charging both wet cell and AGM batteries, with charging and termination algorithms intended to prevent both undercharging and overcharging. Those two failure modes are what shorten battery life in the field: undercharging leaves capacity on the table every shift, and overcharging cooks the cells. On a machine where the battery pack is the single most expensive consumable, matching the charger profile to the battery chemistry pays for itself.
Fits
This charger is listed by Aztec for the ProScrub automatic floor scrubber, which runs a 24 volt system. Aztec builds the ProScrub in both wet cell and AGM battery configurations, and this charger covers both. Confirm the voltage on your machine's battery pack and the part number on your existing charger before ordering.
