The MK Diamond MK-250GXC is a 4 inch Premium Grade continuous rim diamond blade for granite and porcelain tile, carried here as part number 164111. MK designs the 4 inch MK-250 series for hand grinders and small circular saws, which makes this the blade for cutting and trimming stone in place rather than at a table saw. Fabricators use it for sink cutouts, notches and on-site trim work.

The J slot design
MK Diamond states that the GXC uses a J slot design, which leaves a smooth finish. The slots interrupt the rim just enough to let heat and debris escape without giving up the clean, chip-free edge a continuous rim produces on porcelain and granite. That is the point of the design: cooling of a slotted rim, edge quality closer to an unbroken one.
Wet or dry
MK states that the MK-250 series 4 inch blade can be operated wet or dry. Running water where you can will extend the life of the rim and keep dust down.
Operating speed
MK Diamond publishes no maximum RPM for the MK-250GXC. Do not run the blade above the maximum speed marked on your grinder or saw, and use the guard the tool was supplied with.
Warranty
MK Diamond warrants its blades against manufacturing defects in normal service for one year from the date of purchase by the original consumer purchaser. For continuous rim blades, MK replaces the blade free of charge if the bond between rim and core fails during normal use. Normal wear, misuse, abuse and unauthorized alteration are excluded, and MK does not pay freight.
Note on the width figure
The .060 in figure MK publishes is the blade width, not a separately stated core thickness. MK does not publish a core thickness for this blade.
