No. The style 902 after-filter does not fit the large plastic-case exterior filter position used on the Guardian and 8000 and 9000 series. Those machines take this cartridge.
How often should the HEPA filter be replaced?
Once a year covers most households. In homes with pets, heavy carpet or allergy sensitivity, twice a year is a better interval. Replace sooner if airflow drops with a fresh bag installed.
Can I wash this filter and reuse it?
No. Washing a pleated HEPA media pack damages the fibers and destroys the seal, so it stops filtering to spec even though it looks clean. Replace rather than rinse.
Does a new HEPA filter actually improve suction?
It can. Suction is a whole-airway measurement, so a clogged exhaust filter restricts flow just as much as a full bag. If a fresh bag did not help, the exhaust stage is the next thing to check.
