The WI-5256ER is the three-wire handle cable with connector for Windsor Sensor upright vacuums, carried by Windsor and Karcher as part number 86142310 (also written 8.614-231.0) and shown as position 11 in the Sensor parts list. The cable runs from the handle switch down through the pivot to the machine body, which means it flexes every time the handle is raised or lowered. Over a few years of commercial use the conductors fatigue and break inside the jacket, and the machine starts cutting out when the handle moves, or stops responding to the handle switch entirely. Replacing the cable fixes that without touching the motor or the switch.
