The spray bar is the working end of a rotary hard surface tool - it is the spinning arm that carries the jets, and its condition decides whether a floor comes up evenly or comes up striped. The Sandia 10-0864-SB is the genuine replacement spray bar for the 15-inch turbo tool. Tile and grout contractors buy it when years of mineral scale, chemical residue and impact have left a bar that no longer spins freely or no longer delivers an even pattern across the full 15-inch path.
Built for
- Tile and grout contractors seeing streaks, shadows or missed bands behind the tool
- Restoration crews whose spray bar was bent by a threshold, floor drain or expansion joint
- Facility maintenance techs restoring a tool that has been run hard on hard water
- Anyone whose spinner has slowed down or stalled and has already ruled out low pump pressure
What this part does
Inside the dome, the spray bar rotates at high speed while forcing cleaning solution downward into tile and grout. The jet reaction is what drives the rotation, so the bar has to spin freely and the flow path through it has to stay clear. A bent bar throws the balance off and drags on the deck. A bar with scale built up inside starves the jets, and a starved jet is the classic reason a spinner slows down or refuses to rotate at all.
When to replace it
- Visible bends, dents or impact damage on the arm
- A tool that rotates slowly, unevenly or stalls under load with confirmed good pump pressure
- Wet stripes, shadows or an uneven wear pattern across the cleaning path
- Internal scale or blockage that will not clear after an acid rinse soak
Fitment
Genuine Sandia part 10-0864-SB for the Sandia 15-inch turbo tool. Jets are a separate part number - if the bar itself is straight and clear, replacing worn jets may be the cheaper fix. Send us the tool model if you want help deciding which way to go.
Getting the most life out of it
Flush the tool with clean water for ten to fifteen seconds at the end of every job and hold the trigger so the lines actually clear. Sandia's own maintenance expectation includes a regular vinegar flush to keep minerals from hardening inside the flow path, and their warranty specifically excludes damage from skipped flushing and from powdered detergent. Never poke anything through a jet orifice to clear it - that changes the spray pattern and puts wet streaks on the floor.
Specifications
Sandia warranty policy (as published by the manufacturer): 2-year warranty on all vacuum motors; 2-year warranty on 100 psi pumps only, 1-year warranty on all other pumps; 90 days on parts, tools and accessories.
The warranty does not cover defects or failures resulting from improper or absent maintenance, misapplication, misuse, tampering, or substitution of provided parts. It also excludes pumps stored in freezing conditions, pumps run for extended periods with no water, use of powdered detergent, failure to flush the system regularly with a vinegar solution, filters removed from the solution tank, and inline filters that are not cleaned regularly. Sandia covers up to one year of service labor at the manufacturer's calculated hourly rate when the work is performed by a manufacturer-authorized service provider; after one year the original retail purchaser is responsible for all labor. Authorized warranty replacement parts must come directly from the manufacturer - using other parts voids the warranty. Contact the manufacturer before changing out any part, and do not return parts or equipment without an RMA number and prior approval. Warranty starts on the purchase date by the original purchaser from an authorized distributor, subject to proof of purchase.
Frequently asked questions
My spinner will not rotate. Is the spray bar the cause?
It is one of three usual causes. Check for clogged jets first, then confirm pump pressure and bleed air out of the solution line. If those are clean and the bar is bent or internally blocked, the bar is the culprit.
Can I soak a clogged spray bar instead of replacing it?
Often yes. Soaking in an acidic extraction rinse for at least fifteen minutes - sometimes overnight - clears many mineral blockages. Replace the bar when soaking fails or when the arm is physically bent.
Does the spray bar come with jets?
Jets are cataloged separately in the 10-0864 family. Order them alongside the bar if yours are worn, since fresh jets on a new bar is what restores the original pattern.
What pressure should I be running for tile and grout?
Industry guidance for most tile and grout is roughly 800 to 1200 PSI, dropping to about 500 to 700 PSI on delicate or repaired grout so you do not blow out the joints. Always follow your machine's rated limits.
