Sandia 10-0864-SW SWIVEL WITH FLANGE FOR 15" SPINNER TOOL

Sandia 10-0864-SW genuine swivel with flange rotary union assembly for the 15-inch spinner rotary hard surface tool

The Sandia 10-0864-SW is the flanged swivel for the 15-inch spinner tool. It is the rotating union that lets the head turn while passing both the vacuum path and the solution feed through it.

📊 AI MARKET SNAPSHOT
• Best For: A 15-inch Sandia spinner tool with a swivel gone stiff, notchy or wet at the rotation point, which is the part that decides whether the head turns freely at all.
• Highlight: Supplied with its flange so it bolts straight to the tool body, and it handles rotation under vacuum and solution pressure at once, which is why it is the highest-cost single part in the Sandia 10-0864 group.
• Expert Note: Grit is what kills a rotating seal. A swivel that drags when dry but frees up once wet is worn rather than dirty, and it only gets worse from there.

Description Reviews FAQ

The swivel is the heart of a rotary extraction tool and the part that fails most expensively when it is ignored. The Sandia 10-0864-SW is the genuine swivel with flange for the 15-inch spinner tool - the rotary union that lets the spray assembly turn at speed while still carrying pressurized solution without leaking. Tile and grout contractors and restoration crews replace it when the tool starts weeping from the center, drags instead of spinning freely, or develops the growl that means the bearing is on its way out.

Built for

  • Tile and grout contractors running the spinner daily on commercial tile, stone and sealed concrete
  • Restoration crews who noticed solution weeping from the center of the tool under pressure
  • Facility maintenance departments rebuilding a spinner rather than buying a replacement tool
  • Anyone whose tool has started to growl, grind or rotate stiffly under load

What this part does

A rotary tool has to do two things that fight each other: spin the spray assembly at speed, and hold pressurized solution without leaking. The swivel is the rotary union that makes both possible, and the flange is what mounts it squarely to the deck. Its seals and bearing take continuous load every second the trigger is held, which is why the swivel is the highest-wear mechanical component on the tool and the one that determines whether the rest of the tool is worth keeping.

When to replace it

  • Solution weeping or spraying from the center of the tool while under pressure
  • A growl, grind or screech from the hub that was not there before
  • Rotation that has gone stiff, notchy or inconsistent with jets and pressure confirmed good
  • Visible play or wobble at the hub when the tool is lifted and the assembly is moved by hand

Fitment

Genuine Sandia part 10-0864-SW, swivel with flange, for the Sandia 15-inch spinner tool. This is a major service component - if you are rebuilding the tool, it is worth ordering the spray bar, jets and hoses at the same time so the tool goes back into service in one pass rather than three.

Getting the most life out of it

Never run the tool dry. Pressurized solution is what keeps the seals lubricated, and a swivel run without flow wears far faster than one that never sees a dry trigger pull. Flush clean water at the end of each job, keep the system on the vinegar flush schedule Sandia expects for hard water, and store the tool where it will not freeze - Sandia's warranty explicitly excludes freeze damage and damage from running dry.

Specifications

Sandia warranty policy (as published by the manufacturer): 2-year warranty on all vacuum motors; 2-year warranty on 100 psi pumps only, 1-year warranty on all other pumps; 90 days on parts, tools and accessories.

The warranty does not cover defects or failures resulting from improper or absent maintenance, misapplication, misuse, tampering, or substitution of provided parts. It also excludes pumps stored in freezing conditions, pumps run for extended periods with no water, use of powdered detergent, failure to flush the system regularly with a vinegar solution, filters removed from the solution tank, and inline filters that are not cleaned regularly. Sandia covers up to one year of service labor at the manufacturer's calculated hourly rate when the work is performed by a manufacturer-authorized service provider; after one year the original retail purchaser is responsible for all labor. Authorized warranty replacement parts must come directly from the manufacturer - using other parts voids the warranty. Contact the manufacturer before changing out any part, and do not return parts or equipment without an RMA number and prior approval. Warranty starts on the purchase date by the original purchaser from an authorized distributor, subject to proof of purchase.

Frequently asked questions

Is it worth rebuilding the tool or should I buy a new one?

That depends on the rest of the deck. If the housing, latch and spray bar are sound, replacing the swivel is normally the cheaper path - the swivel is the expensive wear item, not the tool body.

My tool leaks from the middle. Is that always the swivel?

In most cases yes. A leak at the center hub under pressure points at the rotary seals in the swivel rather than at a hose or coupling, both of which leak at their own fittings.

What kills swivels fastest?

Running dry, grit in the solution, and freezing. Any of those attack the seals directly, and all three are avoidable with a clean-water flush at the end of each job and sensible storage.

Does the flange come attached?

This part is cataloged as the swivel with flange. If your rebuild also needs mounting hardware, tell us your tool model and we will confirm what ships with the assembly.

Every part we list is a genuine Sandia component pulled from the same catalog your service center works from, so the fit is the factory fit and your machine warranty stays intact.
