Description Reviews FAQ

The MK Diamond DX-10 is a Premium Grade segmented rim dry-cutting diamond blade for cured concrete, carried here in the 14 inch size as part number 159686. MK catalogs it in its extreme dry cutting concrete line. It is bought by contractors cutting cured slab, curb and flatwork with a dry saw, where running water is impractical or the cut has to stay clean.

Cutting dry

A dry blade has no water carrying heat away, so the segments and the core do the cooling themselves. Work in step cuts rather than plunging to full depth, and let the blade spin free in air periodically during a long cut. This is the usual reason a dry blade fails early, and it is entirely under the operator's control.

Sizes

MK Diamond produces the DX-10 in 12 in (part 159685) and 14 in (part 159686).

Operating speed

MK Diamond does not publish a per-blade RPM rating for this part. Its general speed guidelines for a 14 inch blade give 2,500 RPM as the recommended operating speed and 4,365 RPM as the never-exceed limit. Never run the blade above the saw manufacturer's stated maximum.

Warranty

MK Diamond warrants its blades against manufacturing defects in normal service for one year from the date of purchase by the original consumer purchaser. On laser-welded blades, MK replaces the blade free of charge if the weld between segment and core fails in normal use; on brazed blades, if the brazed bond fails within the first .050 in of segment wear. Normal wear, misuse, abuse and unauthorized alteration are excluded, and MK does not pay freight.

Segment height

MK Diamond does not publish a segment height for the DX-10, so none is stated here.

Fits

Confirm that your saw takes a 14 inch blade on a 1 inch arbor and is rated within the speed guideline above before ordering.
