The EDCO A209 is the fine setup start-up pack for the EDCO CPM-8, an 8-inch walk-behind Crete-Plane scarifier used to remove coatings, level high spots and texture concrete. A scarifier works by spinning a drum loaded with carbide cutters against the slab, and how those cutters are spaced determines what the machine actually does. This pack supplies a complete fine-spaced set of cutters, spacers and shafts, which is what contractors and rental yards buy when a drum is worn out or when converting a machine from a coarser setup.

What the fine setup is for
EDCO's own operator guidance is that cutters spaced further apart penetrate deeper and let the machine move forward faster, while closer spacing takes a shallower cut and removes the ridges left by a coarser pass. EDCO directs operators to use coarse spacing for initial passes, finish with medium spacing, and never use a fine spaced cutter head to cut deeper than 1/32 to 1/8 inch. EDCO describes the fine assembly as being for very shallow or cleaning operations.
Fits
EDCO lists the CP206-T cutter as fitting the CPM-8, the 8-shaft CPM-10 and the 6-shaft CPL-8. This pack is specified by EDCO as the CPM-8 fine setup.
