How do I know if the connector is the fault?
Intermittent power, a machine that cuts out when the cord is moved, visible scorching, or a loose or cracked housing all point at the connection rather than the motor. Confirm with the machine unplugged and have a qualified technician verify.
What else should I replace at the same time?
Inspect the whole cord path. The Raven parts list includes the power cord, the 50-foot electrical cord, the pigtail strain relief and its nut, and the on/off switch. If the strain relief has failed, the cord will have been flexing at the entry point and may be damaged there too.
Can I fit a hardware-store connector instead?
