The EDCO A212 is the OEM startup cutter pack for the CPL-8 8-inch concrete scarifier - sometimes called the scari-lite or crete-planer. Concrete contractors and rental yards order this pack when they buy a new CPL-8 drum, when their existing carbides have flat-spotted on a long coating job, or when a sidewalk-repair or non-slip surfacing job is on the schedule and the machine needs a fresh, true cutter pattern to deliver a clean cut.
Why this pack works: The CP206-T is EDCO's general-purpose 6-point tungsten carbide cutter - the most versatile choice for cured concrete, coatings, paint, and adhesives. Carbide stays sharp on materials that round off steel cutters in an hour. Crews running CPL-8s on production sidewalk-repair work routinely rebuild the cutter pack every 8-15 hours of run time on cured concrete, more often on heavy paint or rebar-laden slabs. Keeping an A212 on the truck means the rebuild is a 30-minute swap-and-go, not a half-day delay waiting on parts.
What's in the pack
- 66 EDCO CP206-T 6-point tungsten-carbide cutters
- 234 hardened steel spacers
- 6 cutter shafts sized for the CPL-8 drum
Note: The drum body is sold separately. The A212 fills an empty CPL-8 drum.

- Non-slip surface creation on ramps, loading docks, and pool decks.

Frequently asked questions
What is the CPL-8 vs the CPM-8?
Both are 8-inch walk-behind scarifiers but they have different drum geometries. The CPL-8 (scari-lite) is the lighter-duty model; the CPM-8 (crete-planer) is the heavier production unit. The A212 fits CPL-8; the CPM-8 uses the A201 cutter pack.
Why fewer cutters than the A201?
The CPL-8 drum has a different cutter spacing and total count than the CPM-8. 66 CP206-T cutters fully load a CPL-8 6-shaft drum at the EDCO recommended spacing.
How long do the carbides last?
On cured concrete, expect 8-15 hours of run time before flat-spotting. Heavy paint or rebar-laden slabs reduce life to 4-8 hours.
Can I use steel cutters instead?
Yes - EDCO offers steel cutter equivalents for asphalt and softer materials. Don't mix steel and carbide on the same drum; uneven wear causes vibration.
Do I need to replace all spacers?
Inspect every spacer at cutter changeout. The A212 ships with 234 fresh spacers so you can fully re-pack without sourcing extras.
