A combination depth-control knob and engage/disengage lever lets you set the depth precisely (up to 1 inch maximum cut, opening cracks up to 1/2 inch wide) and lift the blade out of the cut without shutting the machine down. Dual 3-inch vacuum ports on each side connect to a contractor-grade vacuum so the operation runs dry and dust-controlled, which is now the OSHA-compliant default for silica-generating concrete work.
Versatile beyond crack chasing

What is the difference between a crack chaser and a regular slab saw?
A slab saw cuts in straight lines and uses fixed wheels for tracking. A crack chaser uses caster wheels so the operator can steer the blade along whatever curve the crack takes. The C-10 has caster wheels but the optional straight-cut kit lets it do both jobs.
Why open the crack first instead of just filling it?
Sealants and crack fillers need a reservoir with clean, exposed concrete on both walls of the crack to bond properly. Pouring filler into a hairline crack gives almost no surface area to bond to and the patch fails. Routing creates a wider, deeper opening so the filler has real bond strength.
Can I run it dust-free?
Yes. Dual 3-inch vacuum ports are standard. Connect to a HEPA dust extractor sized for at least 250 CFM and the operation meets OSHA Table 1 silica requirements for outdoor and indoor concrete cutting.
