The HPB24 fits the original and legacy Unger HydroPower DI systems. It is not the resin cartridge for the newer HydroPower Ultra housings, which take a different filter such as the UHPR3. How long does one 6-liter bag last?
It depends entirely on the total dissolved solids in your feed water and how much glass you clean. Soft municipal water can stretch a bag across many jobs; hard well water can exhaust one quickly. Most crews track output with an inline TDS meter rather than counting days.
How do I know when the resin is spent?
Rising TDS in the output water is the reliable signal - the water stops reading near zero and the glass starts leaving spots as it dries. Once you see spotting on a properly washed pane, the resin has stopped exchanging.
