Which fuel does it run on?
Either natural gas or liquid propane from the home supply. On propane it is rated 14,000 watts; on natural gas it is rated 12,500 watts. It never needs refueling during an outage.
Are the batteries included?
No. The system uses two 12-volt Group U1 350 CCA batteries, which are sold separately.
How does the load management work?
You assign each managed circuit one of four priority levels. If the generator nears capacity, the lowest-priority loads are switched off automatically so the system does not overload, then restored when capacity frees up.
Can I install this myself?
No. A home standby generator is permanently wired and gas-fed equipment. It must be installed by a licensed electrician, and in most jurisdictions a gas fitter and a local permit are required as well.
Is the warranty valid for off-grid use?
No. The 10-year warranty covers utility back-up installations. Off-grid, prime-power and no-utility-connection installations are not covered.
