4 of 5 Louver design issue July 3, 2020
: casualsox@earthlink.net from FL United States
First, let me start by saying that this vendor delivered the product that I purchased in a reasonable amount of time  in factory new condition.  My issue is with the manufacturer's design.  The louver design SUCKS.  The louvers only open about 45 degrees, and cut the airflow of the fan in half (estimate).  The cause is a mechanical interference.  Perhaps they got careless in a design revision, but the revision I received was fairly unuseable ad received.  I resolved this issue using a dremel tool and a cutting wheel.  I cleared the obstruction, which required cutting the screws so they too would not interfere.  I installed some plastic guides to ensure a repeatable motion.  I also removed on side of the "fixed" center piece (1/7th the airflow).  This allows the center piece to open as well.  Make sure to put something to keep the center piece from opening to vertical to ensure that it closes (falls) first as the fan slows when turned off.  Good luck!
