Out of the box, PortaPower canisters collect debris in a reusable cloth bag that has to be shaken out - a dusty, unpleasant chore that puts everything the vacuum captured right back into the air. This genuine Hoover adapter converts the machine to disposable Type N paper bags: when the bag fills, pop it off and drop it in the trash. No dust cloud, no dirty hands, no downtime.

Installation is a snap-in conversion - the adapter holds the mouth of a Type N paper bag in place of the cloth bag assembly. Note that the adapter does not include the o-ring, and the drive belt (Hoover 046550AG) shown in some parts diagrams is a separate part.
